Volume and tone pot replacement
Worn potentiometers can become noisy, intermittent or unreliable. SR Guitars only uses premium CTS pots with ±8% resistance tolerance for volume and tone pot replacements. One pot replacement is £15 labour plus the part, with additional pots during the same visit at £10 labour each plus parts.
Pickup replacement and installation
A single pickup replacement is £25 labour plus the pickup. Additional pickups fitted during the same job are £15 labour each plus parts. Wiring is checked as part of the installation so the controls and selector operate correctly after the change.
Selector switches and input jacks
A failing selector can cause intermittent pickup selection, crackling or signal loss. A loose or worn jack can cause similar drop-outs. Selector switch replacement is £20 labour plus the part, and input jack replacement is £15 labour plus the part.
Soldering, wiring and full rewires
Minor soldering or wiring repairs start from £15. Where the existing loom is unsuitable or multiple faults make piecemeal repair impractical, a full electronics rewire starts from £50 plus parts.
Copper shielding and unwanted noise
Copper shielding can help reduce unwanted electrical interference in suitable guitars. SR Guitars recommends effective shielding where appropriate and has carried out full cavity and pickguard shielding as part of recent electronics work.
Complex and semi-hollow wiring
Access can be much more difficult on semi-hollow guitars because the controls may not be reachable through a rear cavity. These jobs can take longer and may require an individual quote.
